The Audience Analytics & Insight events were launched by Belinda Barker and Clare Dewhirst, bringing together their knowledge of the media research, digital media, and events sector to meet a perceived industry need.
Working with advertisers, media agencies, and media owners across our other projects, we are frequently hearing about the disjoint between data analytics and traditional research, the need to develop the right skills to ensure that data provides real insight value, and the need to understand which of the plethora of new technology solutions will actually provide the answers. Developed in partnership with Advisory Board members working at the sharp end - in client, agency and media owner data, insight, and strategy teams – the Audience Analytics & Insight events are designed to provide a forum to find the answers to these challenges.
In 2019, we are delighted to have come together with Jillian Ney, the UK’s leading social media intelligence expert, to add her expertise and develop a new add-on event with a focus on the ethical and effective use of social media audience data. Our first joint Audience Analytics, Insight & Intelligence event, with a Social Intelligence Lab added to make a two day programme, will take place in New York in December.
Who we are
Belinda started her career in audience measurement, working both on the media brand and media agency sides of the business. Belinda launched BSBMedia 17yrs ago as media/measurement consultancy and has been lucky enough to work with some of the most respected global brands. Clare has over 30 years’ experience creating and delivering conferences and events for the media & research sectors, with past roles at Marketing Week, WARC, BMRB, the Festival of Media, and the IAB. Jillian is an author, keynote speaker and advisor on social intelligence and behavioural science. She has advised brands including Manchester City Football Club, NATO, Huawei and social listening technologies. After analysing online comments and social data for 13 years, she founded The Social Intelligence Lab to tackle bad industry practice and help brands get more measurable value from social data.
